It's all in the picture!
So today is the day I track my results and although I haven't lost any weight and my measurements haven't changed much I can definitely see it in the comparison picture! I just want to thank my Beachbody Coach Ashley Lee and the girls in the group I belong to for motivating me and inspiring me to keep reaching for my goal!  The top picture was taken June 6 and the bottom picture was taken this morning!

Anyway there are about 3 weeks left until I take my exam and have been studying non stop so today I decided to go out to the mall and target to take a break from studying and to celebrate a small victory. 

Breakfast
Breakfast today was chocolate whey protein powder, a handful of spinach, a banana, 6 strawberries, and a cup of almond milk.

 Lunch
Lunch was the same as yesterday, but I had about a cup of strawberries. I'm thinking of doing something different for lunch, maybe something from pinterest.

PM Snack
I had a grande caramel iced latte with soy milk from Starbucks and a Kind bar. 

Dinner
For dinner the hubby and I had a burrito bowl from chipotle.

Late Snack
It was a really late snack but I was hungry so I had 2 cups of watermelon and 7 honey wheat pretzel sticks.

Workout
Today's Tapout XT workout was Yoga and I broke out in a sweat! Along with yoga I also walked for an hour after dinner even though I did a lot of walking while I was out!

Some of today's meal choices were bad ones...maybe it's because TOM is coming very soon, but anyway here's a summary of today's day.


Breakfast


This morning's breakfast consisted of a whole wheat wrap, 1 tbsp of peanut butter and 1 banana. I got this idea out of Tosca Reno's Eating Clean book and to tell you the truth I wasn't hungry until around 3pm.

AM snack

After goofing around for a while I had my morning snack which consisted of 1 cup of coffee, stevia, and coffeemate's natural bliss Caramel along with an entenmann's mini pound cake.

Lunch


Lunch today was late and was the same as yesterday's lunch, I did remember however to only use 1 filet instead of 2.

Dinner


Since my sister-in-law was out most of the day and she normally cooks dinner Monday-Wednesday the hubby and I decided to have chinese food, now mind you I haven't had chinese for almost 2 months. I ordered Shrimp Chow Fun (not the healthiest choice), but I only had a cup even though I was starving by the time the food arrived. Along with my chinese food I had about a handful of reese's pieces...again I blame the TOM.

Late Snack


I wasn't planning on having a late snack but my brother-in-law and the kids came back from the spa and I had not even a 1/4 cup of watermelon.

Workout


To make up for the bad food choices today's workout consisted of Tapout XT Muay Thai and Week 1 Day 1 of C25K...I am determined to finish both programs!!

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day!!

Less than a month left until I take my NCLEX-PN and the anxiety is starting to build up. Trying to find time to study and workout is a struggle but I'm somehow managing




Breakfast
Monday's breakfast consisted of Chocolate Whey Protein Powder, 1 small banana, 1tbsp peanut butter, and 1/4 cup of oatmeal with 1 cup of 1% milk, which surprisingly enough kept me full until lunch.

Today's breakfast was the same except I added flaxseed and used almond milk instead of regular milk.

Snacks
This morning's snack was a cup of coffee from my Keurig with stevia and 3 tbsp of Natural Bliss Caramel flavor.


Last night's snack and this evening's snack was a half cup of strawberries and a half cup of watermelon and it was the sweetest thing I have ever had!


Lunch

Yesterday's lunch consisted of leftovers from Sunday night's dinner which was bibimbap (rice with mixed vegetables), which I wasn't able to finish.

Today's lunch was 1 100 calorie tortilla wrap, 2 slices of Sargento's thin sliced mild cheddar cheese, a 1/4 cup of spinach and 2 crispy chicken filet's from Gardein. Next time I make a wrap I think I'm only going to use 1 filet since 2 was too much and almost broke open the wrap.

Dinner

Last night's dinner was rice, with some side dishes and korean pork belly marinated in red pepper flakes, and red pepper paste. 

Tonight's dinner was rice, some side dishes, and my sister in law's version of bang bang chicken.

Workout

Yesterday I ran for 20 minutes and walked for 25 minutes along with Tapout Plyo XT and was barely able to finish the workout due to my 20 minute run, I now know not to run or do any other cardio before doing Tapout.

Today's workout consisted of 60 minutes of walking at 3.0mph and Tapout's Ripped Conditioning. 

As I am trying to eat clean I am noticing that whenever I eat anything greasy my stomach does not agree with me, not sure if tat's a good thing or a bad thing.

So the weekend has come and gone quickly! Friday night my husband and I went out to dinner and a movie with my old college roommate/maid of honor from my wedding. Before dinner I did I worked out and Tapout Sprawl and Brawl. For dinner we went to Grand Lux Cafe and I tried to be good, but temptation gave in and ordered a BBQ pulled pork sandwich with fries. I was proud of myself since I only ate the sandwich and had a few bites of the fries! I didn't order any dessert but my friends did and I shared some of her dessert which was a half of a cupcake and 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream (cupcake collision). After dinner we went to see Prometheus (weird movie) which was 2 hours long. We parted ways after the movie and my husband took me to get some froyo at Red Mango! I got a regular sized white peach froyo with strawberries and pineapples!

 Saturday I wasn't able to workout since we went to my brother in law's house for my nephew's birthday and had some cold buckwheat noodles and korean short ribs! After lunch we went to the lake with the kids and walked on the beach for a little bit. Once we got back the kids wanted to play basketball so we went out to the driveway and shot some hoops with the kids.

After my brother in law's we decided to go to the mall and walk around some more before going to my parents house for a bit and ended up leaving an hour later.

Later that night we went into Philly for a friend's birthday and had some korean bbq!


Sunday was a day to relax and I was able to get in some Cardio XT...as much as I hate that workout I work up such a sweat in 40 minutes! We woke up late so we didn't have any breakfast...I know it's not good to skip breakfast, but grabbed an early lunch which was Chipotle. I had a burrito bowl with white rice (I should've gotten brown) steak, cork salsa, salsa, and cheese. I wasn't able to finish the whole thing so I gave the rest to my husband. Dinner that night was bibimbap (korean rice dish with vegetables).

Welcome to Journey to a new me! I've been on this journey for a while with little success but still going strong! To keep me accountable I will start blogging my efforts!

My first goal is to start eating cleaner. Although I have been trying to eat healthy I think cleaning up my eating will help me on the road to weight loss!

My second goal is to finish my C25K program and Tapout XT! In the past I have always started a workout program and make it to the 30 day mark but have never finished a program yet!

I'm beyond excited to start blogging and can't wait to tell you about my progress!!
